The Challenge

The affected employees held diverse roles and required personalised careers guidance and transition support. Babcock International engaged Career Matters to deliver a structured and flexible outplacement programme tailored to these needs.

Our Approach

Career Matters designed and delivered a two-stage support programme with additional ongoing assistance:

  • First 1:1 Meetings: Comprehensive review and advice on CVs and cover letters, rewriting or refining CVs based on each individual’s career history and goals.
  • Second 1:1 Meetings: Interview coaching to build confidence and improve performance. LinkedIn profile advice, including networking tips.
  • Post-Meeting Support: Follow-up assistance via phone or email for three months, covering CV updates, cover letters, and LinkedIn queries.

The programme equipped employees with polished CVs, tailored cover letters, and enhanced LinkedIn profiles, helping them stand out in the job market. Interview coaching sessions boosted their confidence and prepared them for various recruitment scenarios.
