JTC is a publicly listed, global financial services provider specialising in fund, corporate, and private client services. The organisation offers expertise across a diverse range of asset classes and structures, including Company Secretary, Accounting, NAV Production, Operations, and Risk & Compliance.
When JTC decided to close its Fareham office in Whiteley, Hampshire, the Director of Institutional Client Services and Head of the Fareham Office sought Career Matters’ expertise to support 16 employees affected by redundancy.
The Challenge
The impacted team members provided specialised accounting and administrative services, requiring tailored outplacement support to help them transition into new roles. In addition, senior managers needed personalised guidance to enhance their professional profiles and navigate the job market confidently.
Our Approach
Career Matters designed a bespoke outplacement programme, delivering a combination of group workshops and 1:1 coaching tailored to the needs of the affected employees. Key elements of the programme included:
- CV and Cover Letter Writing: One-to-one support to create polished, impactful application materials aligned with each individual’s career goals and expertise.
- Interview Skills Workshop: Practical group training to build confidence and prepare employees for interviews across a range of industries and roles.
- LinkedIn Workshop: Guidance on optimising LinkedIn profiles to enhance visibility and professional networking opportunities.
- Individual Coaching for Managers: Personalised LinkedIn profile development and interview coaching for managers and the Director, enabling them to present themselves effectively in their respective fields.
The Outcome
The programme was well-received by employees and managers alike, equipping them with the tools and confidence needed to secure new roles within and beyond the financial services sector.
Following the success of this initiative, JTC engaged Career Matters to provide individual outplacement support for key employees from other parts of the business, including:
